SCREEN (USA), PRESTELIGENCE IN AGREEMENT TO SELL PRESTELIGENCE'S WORKFLOW WITH SCREEN'S PLATERITE NEWS CTP ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill./ NORTH CANTON, Ohio Screen (USA) and newspaper workflow developer Presteligence, Inc. have announced a strategic partnership to provide an automated newspaper workflow solution for the Screen PlateRite News newspaper CTP device. Under the sales agreement, Presteligence's NEWSXTREME software will drive plate production on PlateRite News series thermal platesetters. The PlateRite News series includes the PlateRite News 1000 and PlateRite News 2000. Screen introduced the PlateRite News 1000 at NEXPO 2004. The PlateRite News 2000 is receiving its North American debut at PRINT 05. The PlateRite News is a complete CTP solution thanks to its seamless integration with NEWSXTREME. NEWSXTREME, sold by North Canton, Ohio-based Presteligence, offers workflow modules for automated file routing, bitmap management and ink presetting. NEWSXTREME can accept and manage any type of file format used in newspaper production environments, including PDF, EPS and TIFF. Its powerful bitmap manipulation engine efficiently prepares pages for output to any CTP or film device. Also as part of the agreement, Trueflow Rite News, Screen's entry-level workflow developed specifically for newspaper prepress, will serve as a software bridge between the PlateRite News devices and Presteligence production workflow system.
