Tupelo Replaces Newsway, Wooster Daily Record Taps NewsXtreme

Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal and Wooster Daily Record have purchased NewsXtreme for their production workflow software. The Wooster Daily Record is slated for a January 2008 install.

Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in Tupelo, Mississippi swapped ProImage's Newsway for Presteligence's NewsXtreme. Tupelo will take advantage of features that were unavailable with the setup they used in Newsway. Each user now has their own login in NewsXtreme and is assigned permissions on what features of the system they can access. Users can log into NewsXtreme using a variety of operating systems and web browsers. They will also take advantage of the deadline settings and email notifications. Emails are automatically generated to the appropriate users when one of their editions misses deadline.

The NewsXtreme scheduler allows Tupelo to schedule dinkies, double-trucks, and jobs for two copies. This eliminated the manual intervention required with the previous setup of Newsway. NE Mississippi Daily Journal outputs to two Kodak Newsetter TH100s.
