The Waco Tribune-Herald, a daily newspaper with a circulation of
36,607 offers Adinfinitum, an electronic tearsheet and invoice delivery
solution, as a value added service to its advertisers. Advertisers get
email notifi cations when their ads publish and when invoices are
available. They run searches on ads and view current and previous
editions of the newspaper.

Back in 2006, The Waco Tribune-Herald, along with the other Cox
Community Newspapers, researched electronic tearsheet vendors that
would allow them to save on postage and full time employee hours.
They quickly realized that implementing a solution across the community
newspapers would allow them to take advantage of a corporate-wide
savings.

The Waco Tribune-Herald eliminated the mailing of physical tearsheets
60 days after their advertisers were told about Adinfi nitum. They save
$20,000 a year –a full time position—plus postage and envelopes. 900
advertising and agency accounts have access to Adinfinitum.

For the first time in January 2009, The Waco Tribune-Herald’s
advertisers received only an online statement, not a mailed statement.
By going 100% digital, The Waco Tribune-Herald saves $7,000/year
in printing and postage. This exercise in savings was met with very
little resistance from their clients as they were all ready accustomed to
having the ability to view their invoices online along with their tearsheets.

Most recently The Waco Tribune-Herald expanded their digital
statements to their carriers. Although the display of the invoice does not
have any corresponding tearsheet to show, it allows carriers to receive
their invoices by email in the same manner that advertisers do. They
plan to set up a computer station in the circulation department for those
carriers who don’t have access to a computer/internet.
