• Search capabilities have been enhanced in the following ways:

• File Submit/upload activities have been enhanced in the following ways:
1. IPS prompts for verification of file selection before initiating an upload.

Enhancements to PageCheck 4.6.2
In PageCheck Proofing Server . . .
• A "RIP Converts Spots to Process" option is now available in the Preferences screen. Disable this option to allow PageCheck to appropriately process jobs when a RIP is configured to output spot color plates instead of CMYK separations.

Enhancements to PageCheck 4.6
In PageCheck Proofing Server . . .
• Annotate dialog box no longer displays when rejecting or accepting jobs.
• PageCheck now includes grid templates.
• PageCheck now accurately processes pages without fonts (without creating Bitmap Font Errors).
• When creating Drop Folders, names that include spaces will no longer be accepted.
• PageCheck now detects and reports the appropriate job names in files that contain several embedded documents.
• The Generate PageCheck File option is now inactive by default for File System Transfer Devices.
• For jobs that include a spot color not in the PageCheck color list, PageCheck now defaults to the following color for that plate: CCFF00 (red 204, green 255, blue 0).
• When installing PageCheck, users may now choose not to install a RIP.

• IPS now includes the following expanded PDF Annotations features:
1. Users can create PDF proofs with annotations included in the Annotations Layer of the PDF.
2. Using Adobe Acrobat, users can add PDF annotations to the PDF file.
3. When the PDF file is uploaded to IPS, the PDF annotations are automatically converted
    to IPS annotations.
• Small jobs and jobs with unusual dimensions now produce accurate PDF exports.
• Emails from IPS now include direct hypertext links to proofs.
• The Annotations tab in the Job Info page now includes placement/grid information that
  identifies the location of the annotation in relation to the upper-left corner of the proof page.
• Multiple language capabilities of IPS have been improved in the following ways:
1. IPS now supports Internet Explorer's ability to allow users to choose the language
   displayed for sites supporting multiple languages.
2. The following languages are supported: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian,
    Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
3. Missing text items are now restored on the French web site.
• Jobs can now be sorted by Status.
• Gallery and List View pages have been enhanced to require significantly less loading time.
• IPS now offers optional JPEG Proof Locking, which locks proofs after they are accepted or rejected.
• IPS now offers Account Lockout, which locks an account after a userdefined number of failed logins. • IPS now supports metric paper sizes.
• A measuring tool has been added to IPS Previewer.
• Proofs can now be faxed from IPS machines with configured modems.
• The following enhancements have been made to user capabilities:
1. Users can no longer delete themselves from the IPS system.
2. New users can only be created by using unique user names.
3. Administrators can now change user passwords.
• Deleting jobs, users, and companies in IPS now completely removes the deleted
  item from the database.

• Added sorting options (Date, Sender, Job Name) and job states (Aborted, Accepted, Rejected and Spooled to Output) to Gallery View and List View.

Enhancements to PageCheck 4.4

• When viewing a full-screen proof in IPS, refreshing the page returns focus to the same location.
• In IPS, List View items display with the most recent at the top; Processing Log items list in the order in which they occur (most recent last).

Enhancements to PageCheck 4.3
• LPR protocol allows printers created in a Windows 2000 Advanced Server clusters environment to connect to PageCheck queues.
• PageCheck accurately recognizes AppleTalk queries that incorrectly spooled as jobs.
• A 100 ms delay between query responses prevents the Mac Chooser (in faster Mac machines) from crashing.
• Queue Monitor (under View on the Menu Bar) correctly displays specific queues in a submenu.
• Multi-byte Japanese characters display correctly.
• Filenames that use extended character set generate correctly.
• When using FTP devices for PageCheck output, users can choose to overwrite existing files when uploading a new file with the same filename.
• TIFF files belonging to the first page of a job are correctly recognized as 1-4.
• TIFF files can be output (rather than original PostScript).
• Default values can be used for proof Timeout, Proofing Resolution, Preview Path, and JPEG Quality. • Users who do not want JPEGS can choose to NOT create composite proofs.
• After restarting the system, PageCheck correctly directs unproofed jobs to the proof device.
• Checkbox permits users to identify devices as Proof Devices to determine the list of possible Proof Devices that appears in queues.
• When any job is removed from the PageCheck system, all related job information is automatically removed.
